Nira’s death in the accident was confirmed by her sister, Heera Chantyal Sherchan, who was also killed. Nira was on her way to Pokhara for a Magh Sankranti celebration.
Nira had also posted photographs and wishes of Magh Sankranti on Facebook. Earlier, she posted a status to Facebook that read, “I should have fun in Pokhara tomorrow.”

There were fifteen non-natives on board, including six kids. The airlines claimed in a statement that the plane contained 53 Nepalis, five Indians, four Russians, two Koreans, one Argentinian, and one each from Ireland, Australia, and France.

They have identified five Indians flying on the plane as Abhisekh Kushwaha, Bishal Sharma, Anil Kumar Rajbhar, Sonu Jaiswal, and Sanjaya Jaiswal, a Yeti Airlines official said, news agency PTI reported.
