SBI wants to raise the price of extra-large lockers from Rs. 9,000 to Rs. 12,000. SBI, HDFC Bank, PNB, and ICICI Bank have paid the locker fee. In the same way, other banks have also raised the prices for lockers. Because of this, people will now have to pay more to use bank lockers.

Customers can use a safe at the bank to store valuables like deeds, jewelry, loan documents, savings bonds, insurance policies, and other private items. In exchange for letting people use the lockers, the bank charges an annual rent that depends on the locker size and where the branch is.

When the locker is given to the renter, the renter is given a copy of the agreement about how to use the safe. According to the rules, the rent must be paid full before starting the financial year.

The SBI Bank website says that a bank locker costs range from Rs 500 to Rs 3,000, depending on where it is and how big it is. The bank charges Rs 2,000, Rs 4,000, Rs 8,000, and Rs 12,000 for small, medium, large, and extra-large lockers in metro and metropolitan areas. The bank charges Rs 1,500, Rs 3,000, Rs 6,000, and Rs 9,000 for small, medium, large, and extra-large lockers in semi-urban and rural areas.

HDFC Bank Locker Charges

Depending on the size, availability, and location of the locker, HDFC Bank locker fees can range from Rs 3,000 to Rs 20,000 per year. The annual fee is usually Rs 3,000 for small lockers, Rs 5,000 for medium-sized lockers, and Rs 10,000 for large lockers in metro and urban areas.

ICICI Bank Locker Fee

For a small locker, ICICI Bank charges between Rs 1,200 and Rs 5,000, and for a large locker, it charges between Rs 10,000 and Rs 22,000. Keep in mind that these prices do not include GST.

Cost of a PNB bank locker

In rural and semi-urban areas, the rent for a PNB bank locker changes from one year to the next. For urban and metro areas, the bank charges between Rs 1,250 and Rs 10,000.

Locker Charges at Axis Bank and Canara Bank

The cost to sign up for a locker at Axis Bank is Rs.1000 plus GST. There are only three free visits per calendar month. Customers of Canara Bank have to pay Rs 400 plus GST to sign up for a locker just once.
