Premier League 2022-2023
With the news that Manchester United has ended Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract, there is now a new Top 10 highest Costly Players in the Premier League. The 37-year-old Portuguese star was said to have made half a million pounds a week at Old Trafford, making him the highest-paid player in English football.
It’s not a secret that English footballers make some of the best money in the world, but who are the best-paid players in the Premier League? With millions of dollars in TV worth going to each club, even average Premier League footballers make much more than many of their peers on the continent.
But here are the 10 players in the Premier League who make the most each week* as the 2022–23 season takes a break for the World Cup.
10. Kalidou Koulibaly (Chelsea, £295k)
Koulibaly is one of four summer signings in the top 10 who got the richest contracts. He did this by becoming one of Europe’s best defenders at Napoli, which helped him get the best deal of his career.

There are some doubts about giving the 31-year-old Senegalese player a costly four-year contract, especially since he has made little of an impact in the Premier League.
But it’s still early, and we wouldn’t be surprised if Koulibaly showed those who doubted him they were wrong. He has been a classy club and country operator for a long time.
9. Casemiro (Man Utd, £300k)
Casemiro beat out another big-name summer signing, Kalidou Koulibaly, to be one of the highest-paid players in the league when he joined Manchester United.
And that makes sense. Since he was a five-time winner of the Champions League and was going to a club, that could only play in the Europa League, you wouldn’t think his agent would have to be a master negotiator to get top dollar.
So far, Casemiro has been amazing, which makes you wonder why United didn’t sign someone like him years ago.
8. Jack Grealish, Manchester City, £300,000
England’s “great white hope” for the summer of 2021 had a disappointing first season at Manchester City after moving from Villa for £100 million.
But Grealish is still a perfect player who can beat his man and make sharp passes, and many people thought he would play closer to his potential in 2022-23.
“Jack is a number 10,” said Trevor Sinclair, a former winger for City. “He’s one of those star players who gets fans up and excited, and we didn’t see enough of that last season.” we saw it when he came off the bench against Real Madrid and did a great job. That should have been enough for him to believe he’s good enough this season and get off to a good start.
7. Raheem Sterling (Chelsea, £325k)
It’s not surprising that Chelsea pays Sterling £325,000 a week. When they got him from City in the summer, he seemed to be a step up from the forwards they already had, and he has been one of the best attackers in the world.

But the England player has done little at Stamford Bridge, partly because Graham Potter won’t let him play anywhere else.
6. Raphael Varane (Man Utd, £340k)
Varane’s skill has never been in question—no one wins four Champions League titles and the World Cup if they can’t kick a ball straight—but injuries made his first season at United forgettable.
But his first game with Lisandro Martinez, when United beat Liverpool 2-1, was the start of something much better.
5. Mohamed Salah (Liverpool, £350k)
Salah signed a new contract that keeps him with Liverpool until 2025, making him the highest-paid player in the club’s history. This came after a contract dispute that could have ruined Liverpool’s season in 2122.
According to comments by Virgil van Dijk in an interview with The Telegraph in July, “there was a lot of debate about (his) contract and whatnot at the end of the season, maybe from April till the finish.” It’s possible that, given that we’re all human, that had at least some impact on him.
But it’s safe to say Salah has earned his raise because he keeps scoring goals even though Liverpool is having trouble.
4. Jadon Sancho, Manchester United ($350k).
This season, United hoped that their investment in Sancho would pay off more, but besides a fantastic finish against Liverpool, he has done little to stand out, and Alejandro Garnacho has been better.
It makes sense that Gareth Southgate, the manager of England, left him at home for the World Cup.
3. David de Gea (Man Utd, £375k)
De Gea is by far the goalkeeper in the Premier League who makes the most money each week. Kepa Arrizabalaga only gets £150k, but because United’s defense was so bad last year, he deserves every penny.
The goalkeeper has been with the United for a long time. He told The Guardian, “We can’t do the same because it was a disaster.” I hope we’ll play better. It was hard and sometimes embarrassing. Some games could have gone better. It hurt and wasn’t right. “Sometimes, go through pain to go up and keep going.”
2. Erling Haaland (Man City, £375k)
Haaland will forget his lacklustre performance in the Community Shield and bet on himself to break Premier League records for goals scored. City beat the best teams in Europe to bring him to the Etihad.
Most players need a season to get used to Pep Guardiola, but the 22-year-old, who makes £375k a week, has already scored 18 Premier League goals. Crikey.
1. Kevin De Bruyne (Man City, £400k)
We can’t say anything about this. In some parts of the Southern Hemisphere, the playmaker can do things with a football that are against the rules.
“It was a great move for to the city to make. “7 years is a long time, and he’s done great work since then,” Pep Guardiola said in August of his star player. “He was in Germany before coming here. I saw him when he was in Wolfsburg, and I was in Bayern. I am pleased with how well he has done so far” You can see how he plays if you turn on the TV. The way Kevin plays tells you everything you need to know about him. It’s okay to talk about his excellent skills, hard work, or how much he cares about the club and his friends. He is the second-in-command. There’s no question about it. These players are so good that you don’t need words to describe them.
