Argentina vs. France: Live Updates, and where to watch the World Cup final
When they play each other in the final at Lusail Stadium on Sunday, Argentina, led by Lionel Messi, and France, will fight for the right to win the 2022 World Cup.
It could have been another final between Croatia and France after Les Bleus won the 2018 tournament, but Lionel Scaloni’s team beat the Checkered Ones 3-0 in the semi-final to change things.

The French then beat fan-favorite underdog Morocco 2-0 in the second semi-final to become the first defending champions to play in back-to-back finals in 24 years. They can now break a record that has stood since Brazil successfully defended its title in 1962.

Argentina team roster and team news
Gonzalo Montiel and Marcos Acuna both come back from one-match suspensions. However, Montiel may have lost his spot to a rising Nahuel Molina, while Acuna may take Nicolas Tagliafico’s spot in a four-man defense with Lisandro Martinez on the bench.
La Albiceleste will be keeping a close eye on Messi after the master tended to his hamstring in the semi-finals. Aside from Messi, Alejandro Gomez is questionable with an ankle sprain, and Angel Di Maria needs to pass a fitness test to start over Leandro Paredes.
Paulo Dybala and Lautaro Martinez will have to show again how good they are when they come off the bench.

France team roster and news
Even though there was a virus in the camp, the France team trained on Saturday. Dayot Upamecano and Adrien Rabiot missed the semi-final against Morocco because they were sick, supposedly because of the constant air conditioning in the stadiums in Qatar. Aurelien Tchouameni and Theo Hernandez also didn’t go to training on Friday because they were sick.
Kingsley Coman, Raphael Varane, and Ibrahima Konate have all called in sick this week, and the team doctors will decide on whether they can play.
Youssouf Fofana will give up his place in the middle if Rabiot comes back into the team. Upamecano’s participation would depend on Konate’s health, or lack thereof. Coman is unlikely to start, and we expected Theo Hernandez to keep his spot despite getting a few knocks against Morocco.
Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbappe, will lead that attack will be right behind Olivier Giroud, who has the essential job upfront.
